Wallpaper - Playful Vase IV

Our Playful Vase IV wallpaper by Cheryl Warrick pairs a graphic still-life motif with a rich, midnight blue backdrop. At the centre of the composition, a rounded turquoise vessel holds radiating stems with stylised, circular blooms and slender green leaves, resting on an arched orange surface with crisp radiating stripes. What we particularly like is the bold contrast between the deep ground and the bright turquoise and warm orange shapes, complemented by fine speckled texture across the forms. Printed made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, it brings an artistic, expressive presence to any interior wall.

In the room

We see this wallpaper working especially well as an accent wall in a living room, dining room, or a creative home office where its focal composition can take centre stage. Because the design centres around a single striking still-life form, giving it an uninterrupted wall allows the rounded shapes and radiating stems to be appreciated in full. In a dining space, placing this mural wallpaper behind a dining table or low sideboard anchors the room with confident colour and graphic rhythm. In a hallway or entryway with good ceiling height, the upward reach of the botanical stems draws the eye upward, giving compact spaces a distinct visual identity.

Styling it

When styling around this design, we suggest balancing the strong graphic forms with simple, grounding furniture. Low-profile credenzas, clean-lined consoles, or a round dining table in warm mid-toned wood help echo the curved silhouette of the vase without competing with the illustration.

To keep the focal point clear, choose unpatterned upholstery and minimal decorative accessories. Matte ceramics or simple lighting fixtures in blackened metal or muted terracotta tie into the artwork's palette while letting the wallpaper carry the visual energy of the room.

Colour combinations

The design centres on a deep midnight blue, turquoise, soft olive green, and vibrant terracotta orange. When planning surrounding wall colours, Major surfaces or adjacent walls painted in a soft off-white or chalky linen tone create a crisp, balanced surround that lets the deep blue ground pop. Alternatively, picking up the rich navy on adjacent woodwork or built-in cabinetry creates an intimate, enveloping atmosphere. For smaller accents such as cushions, table linens, or ceramics, touches of terracotta, warm rust, or muted teal tie effortlessly back to the central illustration.
