Wallpaper - Lake Retreat V

Our Lake Retreat V wallpaper by Silvia Vassileva brings together a serene landscape illustration with gentle scenic typography. The composition features a quiet lake framed by rolling hills, pine trees, and a lone deer standing near the water's edge, topped with the phrase "MEET ME at the LAKE". Rendered in a soft watercolour-like style with earthy greens, subtle blues, and natural neutral tones, the motif has a relaxed, storybook character across the wall. Like all our wallpapers, it is custom made-to-measure to fit your wall dimensions, produced on PVC-free paper with a subtle paper structure, and designed to be straightforward to hang.

In the room

Because the motif functions as an illustrative landscape scene with central typography, we think this design works best on a main feature wall where the entire scene can be appreciated without being broken up by doors or tall storage units. In a living room, dining area, or bedroom, placing it behind a low sofa or a headboard allows the scenic hills, pine trees, and lettering to remain comfortably in view. The relaxed woodland theme also suits a guest bedroom, reading room, or casual lounge where a calm, nature-inspired focal point is welcome. In compact rooms, giving the design one full wall keeps the visual interest focused, while in wider spaces it naturally establishes a cosy focal zone.

Styling it

We recommend pairing this scenic design with simple, unpretentious interior elements that complement its rustic, cottage-inspired feel. Furniture with clean, comfortable silhouettes in warm wood or painted finishes helps ground the room without competing with the detailed illustration.

To keep the focus on the landscape art, keep surrounding wall decorations minimal and choose soft, unpatterned fabrics for upholstery and window treatments. Simple ceramic accessories and understated accents work nicely alongside the relaxed woodland theme, letting the illustrated scenery and typography set the mood for the whole room.

Colour combinations

Our design is built around earthy fern greens, soft blues, muted water tones, and gentle landscape neutrals. When decorating the surrounding space, we suggest pulling directly from these earthy hues for adjacent painted walls, woodwork, and trim. Soft off-whites, warm stone tones, or light sage greens on neighbouring surfaces create a balanced and gentle transition. For furniture or soft accents, deeper forest green, muted navy, or warm charcoal can provide a grounded contrast that echoes the darker details of the pine trees and typography.
