Wallpaper - Seaside Directions

Our Seaside Directions wallpaper by Anne Tavoletti brings a cheerful retro rhythm to the wall, combining geometric starburst motifs with overlapping curved petal shapes. The design features a block-print-inspired appearance with soft, painterly textures across the forms, lending it a relaxed mid-century character. Centred around an aquamarine blue, sky blue, muted coral pink, and sandy beige palette, the balanced repeat creates visual interest without feeling rigid. Our custom made wallpapers are PVC-free, produced to your specific wall measurements, and printed on paper with a subtle physical structure.

In the room

We see this geometric design working particularly well in an entryway, kitchen, or bathroom where its upbeat graphic structure sets a bright, welcoming tone. In an entryway or hallway, the repeating starburst pattern draws the eye naturally along the space, turning a transition area into a memorable design statement. For a kitchen or dining nook, our mural wallpapers bring an appealing retro charm that works nicely on a feature wall beside open shelving or behind a breakfast bench. Because the pattern scale has a distinct rhythm, it can comfortably cover a full room in more compact spaces or ground a specific focal wall in an open layout.

Styling it

The 1950s-inspired geometric structure pairs naturally with retro and contemporary interiors alike. We would combine this wallpaper with mid-century furniture forms, clean lines, and warm woods such as teak or oak to complement the sandy beige tones in the motif. Keep larger surrounding elements relatively calm so the pattern remains the focal point, adding subtle ceramic or glass accents that echo the coastal feel of the pastel blue and coral shapes.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper brings together a fresh mix of aquamarine blue, light sky blue, soft coral pink, and warm sandy beige against an off-white background. When choosing paint colours for adjoining walls, woodwork, or cabinetry, we recommend pulling directly from these tones. A soft warm white or pale sand on adjacent surfaces keeps the room light and open, while a muted teal or deep blue creates a more striking, grounded contrast that picks up the darker starburst details.
