Wallpaper - Sunset Palms Lookout

Our Sunset Palms Lookout wallpaper, created in collaboration with photographer Mark Segal, captures a calm coastal vista bathed in soft pastel tones. A cluster of tall palm trees rises along the sandy foreground, framed alongside a classic white lifeguard tower that anchors the shoreline composition. The horizon opens onto gentle ocean water beneath a sky washed in subtle pink, yellow, and light blue notes, set over warm beige sands. Printed as a made-to-measure mural on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, this design brings a serene, open perspective to residential interior spaces while remaining straightforward to hang.

In the room

In a living room or primary bedroom, we see this scenic mural working best across a wider, uninterrupted wall where the full horizon and the vertical reach of the palms can unfold without interruption. Placing the design behind a sofa or along the main headboard wall creates a soft, expansive focal point that visually opens up the space. The gentle contrast between the sandy beach and the pastel sky keeps the atmosphere light, making it equally fitting for a relaxed sitting area or a bright guest bedroom. Because the composition balances open sky on one side with vertical palms on the other, positioning lower furniture in front of the wall ensures the primary photographic details remain clearly visible.

Styling it

We recommend pairing this coastal scene with understated contemporary or relaxed mid-century furnishings that share its breezy, warm character. Low-profile furniture pieces in light or warm wood tones, such as bleached ash or light oak, help ground the space while echoing the natural beige tones of the shore. Upholstered seating in neutral woven fabrics or pale cream textured weaves keeps the overall room soft and balanced. To maintain the open and tranquil feeling of the photograph, avoid overly heavy or ornate decorative objects that might compete with the sweeping landscape.

Colour combinations

The design features a delicate palette of warm beige, light ocean blue, soft yellow, and muted blush pink across the sky and sand. For adjoining walls and painted woodwork, we suggest pulling directly from these soft baseline shades with warm off-white, soft sandy beige, or a very pale coastal blue. Large textiles such as curtains and area rugs work well in light ivory, warm oatmeal, or pale linen tones to maintain visual harmony throughout the interior.
