Wallpaper - Petal in Passing

Our Petal in Passing wallpaper, designed by Nikita Jariwala, brings a sweeping, painterly botanical rhythm into the home. Graceful trailing vines and long, curved leaves drift across a warm off-white backdrop, carrying soft pink and pale blue blossoms rendered with expressive brushstroke texture. What we particularly like is the fluid, open composition, where the olive and emerald foliage creates an airy movement without overcrowding the wall. Like all our wall murals, this made-to-measure design is PVC-free and printed on wallpaper paper with a subtle physical structure.

In the room

We see this wallpaper working beautifully in a bedroom, where the gentle curves and soft floral touches create an enveloping, calm backdrop behind a headboard. Because the botanical stems have an expansive, flowing repeat, we would give the design an uninterrupted wall in a living room or dining area so the trailing leaves have room to unfurl across the space. The open spacing between the leaves also makes it adaptable for a dressing room or guest room, where it introduces visual character without overwhelming smaller wall areas.

Styling it

To complement the fluid botanical shapes, we suggest pairing this design with furniture that has clean, understated lines. Soft, natural upholstery in cream, oatmeal, or muted rose echoes the delicate tones in the petals, while darker painted accents or simple dark metal hardware can pick up the deeper tones along the vine stems. Keeping surrounding decorative accessories minimal allows the painterly foliage of our mural wallpapers to remain the main visual focus in the space.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper brings together a soft palette of blush pink, powder blue, mossy olive, and deeper green against a warm ivory ground. When choosing surrounding wall colours or cabinetry, soft off-whites and pale warm neutrals work seamlessly to let the motif stand out. For a slightly moodier contrast, deeper forest greens or muted terracotta tones in cushions and throws tie in naturally with the warm undertones of the stems.
