Wallpaper - Within Reach

Our Within Reach wallpaper, created by Kate Jarvik Birch, captures a quiet moment of connection set against a deep, moody backdrop. The design focuses on two expressive hands reaching towards one another across a dark, painted ground of inky navy and charcoal tones. Rich plum, warm rose, terracotta, and subtle highlights give the figures remarkable depth and a painterly, brush-textured appearance. As one of our custom made wall murals, it is produced to your exact wall measurements on PVC-free paper with a subtle paper structure, offering an impactful, fine-art presence for your interior.

In the room

Because of its painterly focus and deep background, this mural wallpaper functions brilliantly as a striking focal point. In a bedroom, we particularly like placing this design on the wall behind the headboard, where the deep tones create an intimate and grounding atmosphere. It also works exceptionally well in a living room on an uninterrupted main wall, allowing the gesture and negative space to unfold without distraction. For a dedicated study or quiet reading nook, the rich palette adds character and depth without overwhelming the space, especially in rooms with soft ambient lighting or gentle daylight.

Styling it

When styling around this expressive wallpaper, we recommend letting the mural remain the primary visual focus. Choose furniture with clean, understated silhouettes to balance the dramatic movement within the artwork.

Low-profile lounge seating or a streamlined bed frame upholstered in textured neutrals, such as muted oatmeal or deep charcoal, will anchor the space effectively. To complement the painterly warmth in the motif, pair the wall with dark stained wood or rich walnut furnishings. Minimalist metal accents, such as blackened bronze or muted brass reading lamps, echo the warm undertones while keeping the overall look sophisticated and cohesive.

Colour combinations

The design centres around rich, layered shades of rose, plum, and warm blush, contrasted by a deep, dark blue and charcoal background.

To create a seamless and atmospheric room, consider carrying deep inky navy or soft off-black onto adjacent walls, woodwork, or trim. If you prefer a lighter, balanced contrast, warm chalky neutrals or soft greige on surrounding walls will allow the dark backdrop of the wallpaper to stand out cleanly. For accent pieces, muted terracotta, dusty rose, or aubergine textiles tie naturally into the skin tones of the motif without competing with its details.
