Wallpaper - Forest Animals Telft, Tiles, Blue

Our Forest Animals Delft wallpaper brings the classic look of antique Dutch tiles to life through charming woodland scenes. Illustrated in crisp cobalt blue against a soft off-white background, each tile panel features its own detailed subject, including huddled rabbits, a calm seated fox, a soaring swallow, and a pair of playful hares. Ornate scroll corner borders and a delicate crackled glaze effect give the pattern an authentic aged character. Created by Blue Bee Studios, this made-to-measure wallpaper is printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, offering a storybook folk-art charm that works across traditional and cottage-inspired homes.

In the room

The orderly grid composition and gentle two-tone palette make this design remarkably versatile throughout the home. In a kitchen, dining area, or pantry, the ceramic tile appearance naturally complements the surrounding culinary architecture, giving the room visual depth and historic warmth. The narrative charm of the forest animals also makes our wall murals a wonderful choice for a nursery, toddler room, or playroom, where the illustrated wildlife creates a playful yet understated backdrop. Thanks to the balanced spacing and crisp detail of each tile, the design sits comfortably across a feature wall behind a dining table or wrapped along a mudroom or hallway.

Styling it

To complement the classic folk-art character of our mural wallpapers, we suggest pairing this design with interior elements that honour its traditional roots:

• Warm, natural wood finishes like pine, light oak, or painted antique furniture echo the rustic cottage mood of the motif without competing with the blue linework.
• Simple, unadorned architectural trim and traditional tongue-and-groove panelling help anchor the tiled grid structure on lower walls.
• Plain ceramics, unbleached linen textiles, or simple woven baskets balance the fine detail of the animal vignettes while keeping the room calm and grounded.

Colour combinations

The pattern centres on rich cobalt blue linework set against a gentle off-white and pale grey ceramic base. When decorating around this wallpaper, clean warm whites and soft chalky tones allow the blue artwork to stand out with crisp clarity. For adjacent walls, woodwork, or cabinetry, deeper heritage navy blues or soft slate greys create a coherent, tonal palette that pulls directly from the tile illustrations. Muted earth tones, such as soft oat or pale stone, also work beautifully to soften the contrast and add warmth to the space.
