Wallpaper - Forest Animals Telft Tiles, Sepia

Our Forest Animals Delft Tiles wallpaper reimagines traditional decorative ceramic tiles through charming woodland illustrations. Created by Blue Bee Studios, the repeat features four distinct motifs: nestled rabbits, a watchful fox, sparring hares, and a swallow in flight. Each scene is framed by ornate scroll borders with a subtle crackled finish, drawn in warm sepia brown and soft dusty rose against a gentle off-white background. The design brings a delicate, storybook feel to an interior while retaining the structured elegance of historic pottery. Printed to order, our wallpapers are made-to-measure and PVC-free, with a subtle structure in the paper surface.

In the room

We see this wallpaper working beautifully in spaces where you want to introduce narrative detail without overwhelming the room. In a dining room or kitchen, the tile-grid structure provides an ordered rhythm that sits naturally alongside cabinetry and open shelving. The gentle sepia tones and nostalgic animal figures also make it a lovely addition to a nursery, child’s bedroom, or hallway, where smaller details can be enjoyed up close. Because the repeating tile pattern is balanced and evenly spaced, it performs equally well across a full room or as a focal point behind a dining table or bed.

Styling it

The historic tile character lends itself well to classic, country, and vintage-inspired interiors.

• Pair the wallpaper with warm, natural timber furniture, such as pine, honey-toned oak, or painted antique pieces, which echo the warmth of the sepia drawing.
• Keep surrounding fabrics simple and tactile, choosing unbleached linen or soft wool in muted, earthy tones that complement the storybook motif without competing with the tile borders.
• Incorporate simple ceramic pieces, stoneware, or heritage-style metal fittings in aged brass to reflect the traditional craftsmanship of the artwork.

Colour combinations

The palette of our wallpaper centres on rich sepia brown, soft dusty rose, and a creamy off-white base with gentle pastel grey undertones. When choosing paint colours for adjoining walls, woodwork, or built-in joinery, we suggest soft off-whites, warm stone, or muted parchment shades. For a more grounding contrast, deeper tones such as warm terracotta, muted cocoa, or soft vintage pink drawn from the washes behind the animals create a cohesive and welcoming scheme.
