Wallpaper - Coastal Palms, French Blue

Designed by RNM Arts, our Coastal Palms, French Blue wallpaper brings a relaxed coastal rhythm to your walls through graceful palm trees and swirling palm fronds. The motif features soft French blue linework with a sketched, stitch-like mark-making character against a warm ivory background. We love how the gentle contrast keeps the repeat feeling light, airy, and easy to live with across an entire room. Printed to your specific wall dimensions, our made-to-measure, PVC-free wallpapers offer a simple way to introduce timeless botanical pattern into everyday living spaces.

In the room

We see this wallpaper working beautifully in a bedroom behind a headboard or surrounding a calm reading corner. Because the blue linework has a soft, muted quality and the ivory ground provides plenty of breathing room, our design can comfortably wrap around all four walls without feeling overwhelming. In a hallway or entryway, the upward movement of the palm fronds adds a welcome sense of height and flow as you move between spaces. The pattern also suits open-plan dining and living rooms, where its understated coastal motif adds character without competing against everyday family life.

Styling it

To complement the relaxed coastal spirit of this design, we suggest pairing it with natural textures and understated furniture.

• Keep larger furniture pieces in light natural woods or painted off-white finishes so the subtle linework of the palm motif remains the visual focus.
• Introduce unbleached linen curtains, woven cotton throws, or a neutral flatweave rug to mirror the soft, textured appearance of the background pattern.
• Choose decorative accents in soft slate, weathered ceramic, or brushed brass to pick up the gentle tones in the wallpaper and add quiet warmth.

Colour combinations

The palette of our wallpaper centres on a delicate French blue set over a warm, creamy ivory backdrop. When planning surrounding wall paint, skirting, and woodwork, you can lean into creamy off-whites that match the background tone for a seamless, tonal look. If you prefer a bit more definition, soft slate blues, muted seafoam, or pale chalky greys on surrounding woodwork create a lovely, cohesive frame. For furniture and larger upholstery, sandy neutrals, pale oatmeal, and soft navy accents work effortlessly alongside the blue palms.
