Wallpaper - Timber Clad, Dark Rosewood

Our Timber Clad, Dark Rosewood wallpaper brings the deep, nuanced character of vertical timber panelling into an interior. We designed this motif with rich variations in grain, subtle knots, and natural shifts between deep espresso and warm chocolate brown tones. The vertical plank composition adds a quiet architectural rhythm to a room, giving walls a grounded and structured feel. Like all our mural wallpapers, this design is made-to-measure to fit your specific wall dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical surface structure.

In the room

We see this wallpaper working particularly well where you want to create an intimate, grounded atmosphere. In a living room, it makes a compelling feature wall behind a deep sofa, introducing visual depth without relying on high-contrast pattern. In a bedroom, placing it across the wall behind the headboard anchors the sleeping area and brings a cocooning, restful feel to the space. Because the grain runs vertically, it naturally draws the eye upward, making it equally effective across an entire study or dining area with standard ceiling heights.

Styling it

When styling around such a rich, dark timber aesthetic, balance is key. We like pairing this design with contrasting textures that bring lightness to the room, such as woven wool rugs, bouclé upholstery, or crisp linen textiles in cream and oat tones. For furniture, mid-toned woods or matte black metal frames sit naturally against the deep brown backdrop without competing with the grain. Warm, low-temperature ambient lighting from floor lamps or shaded sconces will highlight the subtle tonal depth of the vertical panels during the evening.

Colour combinations

The palette in our design focuses on deep rosewood, rich charcoal-brown, and undertones of warm amber within the wood grain. To complement these dark shades, we recommend surrounding the wallpaper with soft off-whites, warm biscuit neutrals, or muted taupe on adjacent walls and trim. If you prefer a richer, more enveloping colour scheme, deep forest green, burnt caramel, or muted terracotta accents on cushions and ceramics harmonise beautifully with the wood tones.
