Wallpaper - Climbing Wisteria, Sage

Our Climbing Wisteria, Sage wallpaper pairs winding brown branches and rich green foliage with delicate clusters of white flowers across a muted sage green backdrop. The botanical motif brings an organic, upward rhythm to the wall, balancing the dense layering of leaves with lighter floral accents that catch the eye without overwhelming the room. Created with a subtle watercolor-like painted quality, this classic floral repeat combines traditional elegance with a fresh, airy presence. Like all of our wallpapers, it is custom made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure.

In the room

The upward growth and fluid movement of the branches make this pattern particularly effective in a dining room or living room, where the continuous flow of the botanical elements can stretch across a wide, uninterrupted feature wall. In a bedroom or dressing room, we like how the soft sage ground sets a restful tone, working just as comfortably wrapped around multiple walls as it does behind a headboard. The balanced scale of the leaves and white wisteria blossoms also suits an entryway or hallway staircase, giving smaller transitional spaces a refined sense of connection to nature.

Styling it

To complement the heritage character of this design, we suggest pairing it with warm wood furniture, such as classic walnut or rich oak dining pieces, which anchor the winding brown branches in the pattern. Clean painted furniture in off-white, antique cream, or soft moss green keeps the overall space feeling open and harmonious. For surrounding accents, matte brass or antique bronze hardware provides a gentle metallic contrast that honors the traditional botanical style.

Colour combinations

The design is built around a gentle palette of sage green, warm leafy greens, earthy brown stems, and crisp white flower clusters. When choosing paint for adjacent walls, trim, or skirting boards, we recommend soft chalk whites, muted ivory, or light greiges that echo the pale florals. If you prefer a richer, more enveloping look, pulling out deeper olive tones or a coordinating sage for woodwork creates a seamless, grounded connection to the foliage.
