Wallpaper - Frank, Maroon

Our Frank, Maroon wallpaper brings together bold modernist geometry and collage-inspired abstraction, designed by Irina Chikati. The composition layers overlapping circles, sharp triangles, and structured rectangles in a rich palette of deep maroon, burgundy, and crisp contrasting tones. A subtle visual texture reminiscent of brushed metal runs across the shapes with fine linear grain, giving the geometric forms extra depth without complicating the clean layout. Printed to order as made-to-measure mural wallpapers, each panel is PVC-free and straightforward to hang in your home.

In the room

In a living room, this design commands attention on an expansive feature wall behind a low sofa, where the interlocking shapes can unfold across the width of the room without being obstructed. The balanced scale of the geometric elements also works remarkably well in a dining room, framing a central dining table and creating a sophisticated, gallery-inspired backdrop for dinner gatherings.

For a dedicated home office or library, our mural wallpapers bring structured visual interest that anchors the workspace. If you have an entryway or hallway with good ceiling height, the strong diagonals and vertical alignment of the composition guide the eye naturally through the transition space.

Styling it

To let the rhythmic geometry of our wallpaper take centre stage, we suggest pairing it with furniture featuring clean architectural lines. Mid-century modern silhouettes, tubular metal frames, or minimalist Scandinavian designs complement the modernist spirit of the print without competing against its bold forms.

When considering materials, dark stained timber or warm walnut furniture reinforces the richness of the burgundy tones, while brushed chrome, blackened steel, or matte brass accents pick up on the graphic, metallic visual character in the pattern. Keeping large upholstered pieces in solid, neutral fabrics allows the intricate layers of the wall mural to remain the focal point.

Colour combinations

The foundation of this wallpaper is built on deep maroon and burgundy balanced by clean off-white elements and muted greyish undertones in the textured details.

When choosing adjacent wall colours, consider warm off-white or light stone shades to echo the lighter geometric shapes and maintain an open feel. If you prefer a richer, more enveloping atmosphere, surrounding the mural with deep oxblood, charcoal, or dark espresso woodwork creates seamless drama. For accent pieces and smaller textiles, muted terracotta, dusty rose, or warm ochre tie effortlessly into the reddish-brown spectrum of the design.
