Wallpaper - Frank, Periwinkle

Our Frank, Periwinkle wallpaper brings a modernist architectural feel to the wall through an overlapping composition of geometric shapes. Designed by Irina Chikati, the artwork balances clean diagonal and vertical structure with softer brushstroke-inspired textures and graphite-like line details. Tones of cool periwinkle, slate blue, and quiet grey intersect to create visual depth, making this geometric motif feel structured yet expressive. Produced as made-to-measure mural wallpapers on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, it offers a contemporary focal point that is straightforward to hang in any interior.

In the room

In a living room or dining room, we would give this design a wide, uninterrupted feature wall behind a sofa or dining table where the large-scale geometric forms and diagonal lines can unfold across their full width. The balanced rhythm between light and dark slate tones creates movement across the space without making the room feel visually crowded. We also see this working well in a dedicated home office, study, or teenage room, where the structured composition brings clean artistic energy to a backdrop wall. In an entryway or hallway staircase, the strong vertical elements naturally guide the eye upwards, complementing the architecture of the space.

Styling it

To let the geometric composition take the lead, we suggest pairing this mural with furniture that features clean, unornamented profiles. Mid-century modern or contemporary minimalist pieces with slender black metal frames or crisp painted finishes balance the angular shapes nicely without competing for attention. If you want to introduce warmth against the cooler slate and periwinkle palette, natural wood tones such as ash or light oak provide a gentle organic grounding that softens the graphic forms.

Colour combinations

Our wallpaper centres on a cool palette of periwinkle, slate blue, and soft grey. Around the wall, we like pairing these shades with crisp cool whites or light stone greys on adjacent walls and woodwork to keep the room feeling open and cohesive. For a richer contrast, deeper charcoal accents in lighting fixtures or soft furnishings anchor the darker geometry, while muted warm neutrals like oatmeal or natural linen help balance the cooler blue undertones.
