Wallpaper - Conoid Grain, Blue Ash

Our Conoid Grain, Blue Ash wallpaper captures the flowing organic structure of wood grain rendered in soft, delicate lines. Designed by Wallism Studio, the motif pairs a pale, bleached ash-toned backdrop with cool blue-grey contour lines that trace natural rings and knots across the surface. The vertical movement and fine graphic detail give the design an airy, calm character, offering an expressive surface pattern without visual clutter. Like all our wall murals, this design is made-to-measure to fit your wall dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure.

In the room

The light, muted palette and continuous vertical grain make this wallpaper exceptionally versatile across a range of living spaces. In a living room or bedroom, we would happily use it across all four walls to create a cohesive, cocooning environment where the gentle rhythm of the lines adds warmth without overwhelming the room. The subtle contrast also works beautifully on a dedicated feature wall behind a headboard, a low sideboard, or framing a dining table, where the fine details can be appreciated up close.

Because the pattern relies on soft linework rather than heavy contrast, it performs effortlessly in rooms with varying light levels. In bright natural daylight, the pale tones maintain an open, expansive feel, while softer ambient lighting in the evening highlights the gentle blue undertones in the grain.

Styling it

To complement the graphic yet organic character of the design, we suggest pairing it with clean-lined contemporary furniture and tactile interior materials.

• Combine the wallpaper with painted furniture in deep slate or soft chalky whites, which echo the pale ground and dark linework of the pattern.
• Introduce natural linen drapery or woven wool upholstery to add physical warmth and layer soft textural contrast against the wall.
• Balance the fluid grain lines with minimalist lighting and slim metal accents in matte black or brushed steel to maintain a modern, grounded feel.

Colour combinations

The pattern itself is built on a quiet pairing of bleached, off-white wood tones and soft denim-tinted blue lines. When considering surrounding surfaces, we like connecting to the cool blue element with accents in navy, indigo, or muted blue-grey for a coordinated palette.

For a lighter, more understated interior, soft off-whites, neutral greys, and pale stone on adjacent walls and woodwork keep the overall mood calm and cohesive. If you prefer a richer atmosphere, deep charcoal or forest green on key furniture pieces provides a striking contrast that sharpens the wallpaper's linework.
