Wallpaper - Conoid Grain, Prussian Blue

Our Conoid Grain, Prussian Blue wallpaper interprets the undulating, organic flow of timber grain through a deep, atmospheric palette. Fine vertical striations and layered contour loops create a continuous visual rhythm across the surface, moving between inky navy, steely slate, and deep prussian blue tones. What we particularly appreciate about this design is how the woodgrain pattern acts almost as an abstract texture from a distance, revealing subtle linear detail as you step closer. Printed made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, it brings a tailored, graphic presence to any interior.

In the room

We see this wallpaper working especially well in a study, home office, or bedroom where a richer, more enveloping backdrop is desired. Because the vertical grain has an elongating effect, it can give walls a quiet sense of height while remaining grounded. On a feature wall behind a bedhead or a dark wooden desk, the continuous grain pattern provides ample graphic interest without feeling noisy. In a hallway or dining room, wrapping multiple walls in the design creates a cohesive, intimate feel, particularly when paired with warm ambient lighting in the evening that softens the deeper blue tones.

Styling it

To balance the cool, ink-toned depth of the pattern, we would introduce furniture in warm mid-tone woods like walnut or warm oak, which resonate naturally with the woodgrain motif. Clean-lined silhouettes and understated upholstery in woven neutral fabrics allow the wall surface to remain the focal point. For accents, unlacquered brass, blackened steel, or matte ceramics provide a pleasing material contrast against the fluid, organic lines of the grain.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper is built on deep prussian blue, slate grey, and dark midnight tones. To keep the overall room scheme balanced, we recommend pairing it with muted chalky whites, soft stone, or pale warm grey on adjacent walls, ceiling, and woodwork. If you prefer a moodier, monochromatic look, deep petrol blues, charcoal, and warm camel accents work together to enhance the sophisticated palette of the design.
