Wallpaper - Ginko Folly, Ivory Sand

Our Ginko Folly wallpaper brings together classic Art Deco fan geometry and delicate botanical detail. The repeating motif features stylized ginkgo leaves arranged in rhythmic, scalloped tiers, balancing clean graphic structure with fine radiating vein lines. Set in a warm sand tone against a soft ivory backdrop, the palette remains gentle and calm while giving the wall an elegant sense of movement. As with all Wallism wallpapers, this design is made to measure to your exact wall dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle paper structure.

In the room

Because of its balanced scale and continuous repeating rhythm, this wallpaper works gracefully across different room settings. In a bedroom, we especially like it behind the bedhead as a focal wall, where the arching fan pattern adds visual softness and architectural order. The design also performs well across all four walls in a hallway, dining room, or home office, wrapping the space in a cohesive pattern without feeling heavy or visually crowded.

In rooms with plenty of daylight, the fine line work within each leaf remains crisp and clear. Under warmer artificial lighting in the evening, the sand and ivory tones blend together smoothly, creating a quiet and welcoming atmosphere that settles naturally into the background.

Styling it

We would pair this pattern with interior pieces that echo its understated, classic character. Furniture with rounded silhouettes, curved headboards, or arched mirrors complements the scallop formation of the leaves. Clean-lined contemporary pieces also work well, allowing the structured rhythm of the wallpaper to bring pattern into an otherwise quiet room.

To keep the balance right, we suggest pairing the design with warm wood tones such as ash or light oak, alongside matte black or antique brass hardware. Simple woven textiles, such as wool throws or textured cotton upholstery, add depth to the room while keeping the focus on the wallpaper's delicate lines.

Colour combinations

The motif is built on two soft, versatile shades: a creamy ivory background and warm sand outlines. Because the contrast between these tones is subtle, it pairs effortlessly with a wide spectrum of surrounding finishes.

For adjacent walls and woodwork, warm whites, clotted cream, or soft stone tones create a light, harmonious look. If you prefer deeper contrast, we suggest pulling in accents in charcoal, muted olive, rich taupe, or toasted caramel on painted cabinetry, trim, or larger furniture pieces.
