Wallpaper - Ginko Folly, Sage Linen

Our Ginko Folly, Sage Linen wallpaper features an elegant fan-shaped repeat inspired by delicate ginkgo leaves, arranged in an interlocking scalloped rhythm reminiscent of classic Art Deco patterns. Fine linear vein details radiate outward within each leaf, framed by soft sage green contours against a muted, linen-toned neutral ground. The balanced geometry and gentle contrast give this design a calm, architectural presence that sits comfortably across both modern and heritage-inspired spaces. Like all our wallpapers, it is custom made-to-measure and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical structure.

In the room

Because of its rhythmic, medium-scale repeat and soft tonal contrast, we see this design working beautifully across an entire room or on a focused accent wall. In a bedroom, placing it behind the headboard creates an inviting, tailored backdrop without feeling visually crowded. In a living room or dining area, the orderly fan motif adds quiet structure that holds together well across long, unbroken walls as well as around doorways and alcoves. The soft sage and warm linen tones respond gently to shifting natural light throughout the day, maintaining a soothing, balanced atmosphere from morning daylight to soft evening lamplight.

Styling it

To complement the architectural geometry of the ginkgo fans, we would pair this wallpaper with furniture featuring clean, rounded profiles or mid-century curves. Warm mid-tone woods like walnut or oak sit naturally against the sage and linen ground, bringing out the earthy quality of the palette.

For textiles, simple woven cushions, wool throws, and neutral curtains in oatmeal or muted stone enhance the understated mood without competing with the line work. Understated brushed brass or dark patinated metal accents also connect nicely with the vintage-inspired scallop geometry.

Colour combinations

The palette within our design centres on soft sage green line work set against a pale, warm linen base. To create a cohesive interior, we recommend pairing this wallpaper with off-white, calcified stone, or gentle warm grey on surrounding walls and woodwork. If you want to introduce deeper accents through painted cabinetry, larger furniture pieces, or upholstery, deeper moss greens, muted olive tones, or soft charcoal create a handsome and grounding contrast.
