Wallpaper - Les Andelys Vertical, Petal Red

Our Les Andelys Vertical, Petal Red wallpaper pairs tailored vertical stripes with a woven textile look, giving your wall the visual richness of a classic fabric. Created by Limolida Studio, the pattern balances bold petal red bands with softer, finer lines in pale greyish white. This geometric line structure brings a grounded, heritage feel that draws on classicism and traditional Americana design while remaining crisp and approachable. Produced as made-to-measure mural wallpapers on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, it is straightforward to hang and easy to integrate into both traditional and modern decorating schemes.

In the room

The vertical stripe arrangement naturally emphasises ceiling height, making this design particularly effective in rooms where you want to draw the eye upwards. We see this working beautifully in an entry, hallway, or staircase, where the clean geometric lines guide movement through the space. In a dining room, library, or home office, wrapping all four walls in these wallpapers creates a warm, tailored atmosphere reminiscent of classic Southern traditional interiors. The rhythmic repeat also sits comfortably on a single accent wall behind a headboard in a bedroom or guest room, providing visual focus without overwhelming the surrounding space.

Styling it

The balanced, orderly structure of this design invites styling that honours its heritage character while keeping the room feeling fresh and lived-in.

We like pairing the warm petal red with darker wood furniture, such as antique mahogany or walnut, to lean into a timeless aesthetic. If you prefer a lighter, more relaxed look, painted wooden cabinetry in off-white or soft cream balances the strength of the stripes nicely. To complement the woven appearance on the wall, introduce natural textiles like woven cotton throws or heavy linen upholstery that echo the tactile look of the pattern without competing for attention.

Colour combinations

The palette centres on an inviting brick red set against soft, pale greyish-white lines. When planning paint for adjacent walls, skirting, or doors, consider warm whites, muted stone, or gentle pale greys that reflect the lighter background of the wallpaper. For a richer, more enveloping scheme in a study or dining area, deep brick tones or classic navy accents create a confident contrast that highlights the architectural quality of the stripe.
