Wallpaper - Les Andelys Vertical, Sky

Our Les Andelys Vertical, Sky wallpaper pairs alternating vertical bands of French blue and soft white with a subtle woven-fabric visual effect. Created by Limolida Studio, the pattern balances varying stripe widths to give the surface a gentle, rhythmic structure that feels rooted in heritage design. The interplay of cool blue tones and crisp pale lines brings an airy, composed character to the wall without appearing rigid. Each order is made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical surface structure, making our wallpapers straightforward to hang across rooms of any scale.

In the room

We like how the vertical direction of the stripes draws the eye upward, making this design well suited to rooms with standard or lower ceilings. In a bedroom or nursery, running the pattern across all four walls creates a classic, tailored enclosure that feels calm and cohesive. In an entryway, hallway, or guest room, the balanced rhythm of the stripes adds architectural clarity to narrower walls and surfaces broken up by doorways. We also see this working naturally on an accent wall behind a dining table or in a home office, where the clean geometry anchors the space without creating visual clutter.

Styling it

The heritage feel of this stripe makes it easy to combine with both traditional and relaxed interior styles, from coastal and cottage aesthetics to classic country interiors. We would pair our wallpaper with painted woodwork in off-white or deep navy, allowing the linear structure of the wall to stand out quietly. For surrounding furniture, lighter timber tones or painted cabinetry keep the atmosphere crisp and unfussy. Simple natural-fibre textiles like plain cotton or linen work especially well here, ensuring the striped motif remains the primary visual detail in the room.

Colour combinations

The palette centres on soft French blue set against clean, pale white. To create a harmonious interior, we recommend surrounding the wallpaper with muted neutrals such as chalky whites, soft stone, or pale grey on adjoining walls and woodwork. If you want to introduce deeper contrast, rich navy accents or dark slate blues echo the coolest tones within the stripes. For a warmer, slightly coastal balance, subtle accents of weathered cream or muted sand sit very comfortably alongside the cool blue base.
