Wallpaper - Sinuous Ceres, Slate Blue

Our Sinuous Ceres, Slate Blue wallpaper, created by designer Marta Cortese, captures the gentle movement of tall grasses and delicate meadow seed heads rising against a deep slate blue backdrop. Warm golden wheat and beige tones create a rhythmic lower section of twisting blades, which gracefully taper into airy, branching sprigs along the upper third. The considered contrast between the rich dark background and the warm botanicals gives this mural wallpaper a grounding yet refined presence. Like all our wallpapers, it is made-to-measure to fit your room dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical structure.

In the room

We see this design working beautifully on a main feature wall in a bedroom, living room, or dining space. Because the visual density builds from the floor upward and leaves a calmer slate blue expanse towards the top, the motif naturally anchors lower furniture. Placing a headboard, a low-profile sofa, or a wooden sideboard against the wall still leaves the delicate botanical stems and seed heads clearly visible above. In larger rooms with generous natural daylight, the interplay between the warm wheat tones and deep background creates a striking balance of warmth and depth.

Styling it

To complement the botanical forms and warm golden palette, we suggest pairing this design with mid-toned or dark woods such as walnut or warm oak, which echo the earthy hues of the grasses. Keeping surrounding furniture silhouettes relatively clean and unadorned allows the organic, flowing lines of the mural to remain the clear focal point of the interior.

For textiles, simple matte fabrics in oatmeal, soft ochre, or midnight blue work naturally alongside the wall, tying the whole room together without competing for attention.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper is built around a palette of deep slate blue, warm golden straw, pale sand, and soft ochre. When selecting surrounding wall paint, cabinetry, or woodwork, we recommend echoing these exact tones. A deep charcoal or midnight blue on adjacent walls will create an intimate, enveloping atmosphere, while a soft cream or warm linen neutral on neighbouring surfaces will let the wallpaper stand out as a defined statement wall.
