Wallpaper - Sinuous Ceres, Sage Mist

Our Sinuous Ceres, Sage Mist wallpaper brings the layered, organic rhythm of wild meadow grasses into the home. Created by designer Marta Cortese, the design features long, twisting blades intertwined with delicate botanical stems and seedheads, rising gracefully across a soft, pale cream backdrop. The palette is built on muted sage greens, dusty olive tones, and warm neutral undertones that give the pattern a gentle, tranquil presence. Like all of our wallpapers, this mural is made-to-measure to fit your specific wall dimensions and is entirely PVC-free.

In the room

We love how the vertical movement in this design anchors a room without overwhelming the upper half of the wall. Because the denser foliage rises from the base and leaves generous open space above, it works beautifully on a feature wall in a bedroom behind a headboard or along a dining room wall. In a living room or wide hallway, we would give the mural wallpaper an uninterrupted stretch of wall so the winding curves of the grass stems can unfold across the full width. The subtle green tones also respond nicely to shifting natural daylight, revealing fine linear details in bright morning sun while settling into a quiet, warm neutral hue under soft lamplight in the evening.

Styling it

To complement the botanical character of the mural, we suggest pairing it with clean-lined furniture that allows the undulating shapes to remain the focal point. Low-profile seating or minimalist wooden sideboards keep the lower detail visible, while warm wood finishes such as ash or pale oak tie into the earthy base tones. When introducing textiles, simple woven cushions or curtains in undyed off-white and soft neutral shades maintain an airy, understated atmosphere without competing with the detailed botanical linework.

Colour combinations

The core palette of our wallpaper consists of soft sage green, muted moss, dusty olive, and a gentle cream background. When decorating around it, we like combining these tones with warm off-white, light linen beige, or soft grey-green on adjacent walls and woodwork. If you want to introduce a touch of grounding contrast through accessories or painted joinery, deep forest green or muted charcoal accents work remarkably well alongside the sage tones.
