Wallpaper - Sinuous Ceres,

Designed by Marta Cortese, our Sinuous Ceres wallpaper captures the organic rhythm of tall grasses and delicate seed heads rising from the base of the wall. What we particularly like about this design is the balance between the fluid, undulating ribbons of grass in the foreground and the finer botanical detail behind them. Rendered in a warm, tonal palette of wheat, beige, ochre, and deep russet brown against a soft cream background, the composition brings a gentle sense of height and natural movement. Our made-to-measure wallpapers are PVC-free and printed on a paper with a subtle surface structure.

In the room

Because the density of the motif builds upward from the bottom of the wall, we see this working particularly well as an accent wall in a living room, dining space, or bedroom. Placing the design behind a low-profile sofa, a dining table, or a bed frame allows the taller, airy seed stems to remain clearly visible higher up the wall. In rooms with standard ceiling heights, the vertical flow of the grass stems adds an understated sense of verticality without overwhelming the space. In a hallway or entryway, running the pattern along a main wall introduces an inviting, botanical transition.

Styling it

To let the botanical artwork take center stage, we would pair this design with furniture that has clean, understated lines. Warm wood finishes such as ash, natural oak, or honey-toned birch resonate naturally with the golden and wheat tones in the pattern. For upholstered pieces and soft furnishings, textured neutral fabrics like unbleached cotton, bouclé, or woven wool help create a layered, grounded interior. Keeping surrounding decorative pieces simple prevents the fine line work of the seed heads from competing with too much visual noise.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper is built around warm, earthy shades including cream, soft wheat, muted ochre, and occasional ribbons of rich russet. For adjacent painted walls and woodwork, warm off-whites, soft buttermilk, or muted stone tones allow the design to integrate smoothly into the room. If you want a more grounded contrast, drawing out the deeper russet and chestnut accents through surrounding textiles, ceramic accents, or dark wood elements gives the space added depth.
