Wallpaper - Sinuous Ceres, Soft Fawn

Our Sinuous Ceres, Soft Fawn wallpaper, created by Marta Cortese, captures tall ornamental grasses and delicate seed heads swaying in an airy, upward composition. Rendered in quiet fawn tones, oat, soft beige and touches of deeper taupe, the illustrated blades rise from the floorline while lighter botanical stems drift into an open cream background above. The balance between bold, undulating ribbons of grass and finely detailed foliage gives the motif a peaceful, grounded rhythm. Produced as custom made-to-measure mural wallpapers on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical surface structure, our design brings an understated natural landscape into contemporary living spaces.

In the room

We see this design working particularly well in a master bedroom or a dining room where the upward movement of the grasses can frame lower furniture naturally. Because the denser vegetation anchors the lower portion of the wall, placing a low headboard or a sideboard against it allows the fine, airy seed heads to feather upward into clear space. In a living room, giving the wallpaper a wide, uninterrupted feature wall creates a gentle panoramic horizon that softens rectangular architecture without feeling busy or overwhelming. The neutral warmth also suits hallways or guest bedrooms, especially where natural daylight highlights the delicate variation between the warm fawn, beige and soft taupe tones.

Styling it

To complement the fluid botanical forms of the wallpaper, we suggest keeping surrounding furniture clean and tactile rather than heavily ornamented:

• Pair the warm neutral palette with light ash, white oak or pale Scandinavian-style timber to maintain a bright, cohesive look.
• Introduce woven linen, bouclé or soft wool upholstery in off-white and oatmeal to balance the graphic curves of the grass leaves.
• Incorporate matte ceramic accents or subtle aged bronze fixtures to provide a quiet contrast against the smooth paper backdrop.

Colour combinations

The design itself is built on an earthy palette of soft fawn, oatmeal, muted straw, pale cream and soft charcoal-taupe. When decorating around it, we recommend taking cues from the cream backdrop and pairing adjacent walls with warm ivory, soft bone or chalky off-white paint. For a more enveloping, tonal scheme, a soft stone or light mushroom paint on woodwork and doors deepens the earthy warmth. If you wish to introduce a touch of grounding contrast through furniture or larger textiles, muted taupe, deep espresso or dry olive green harmonize beautifully with the darker ribboned leaves.
