Wallpaper - Grain Clad, White Wash

Our Grain Clad, White Wash wallpaper captures the soft, weathered look of vertical timber panelling with visible grain patterns, gentle knots, and pale greyish-beige undertones. The vertical plank composition brings a calm, architectural structure to an interior, while the whitewashed surface softens the overall contrast for an airy and natural visual feel. Like all Wallism mural wallpapers, this design is made-to-measure to fit your specific wall dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle physical structure.

In the room

We especially like how the vertical planks create an impression of height, making this design well suited to rooms with standard ceiling heights as well as open living spaces. In a living room or bedroom, it works wonderfully across a feature wall behind a sofa or headboard, introducing organic visual detail without overpowering the room. Because the tonal contrast across the planks is gentle, you can also wrap this wallpaper around multiple adjoining walls or use it in hallways and dining areas where you want a continuous, serene backdrop.

Styling it

The light, muted timber character lends itself naturally to Scandinavian, coastal, and relaxed contemporary interiors. We suggest pairing it with soft neutral upholstery, simple streamlined furniture, and tactile woven textiles like wool or linen to complement the rustic visual texture of the wood grain. Darker charcoal or matte black accents in light fixtures or table legs can provide a grounding contrast, preventing the pale palette from feeling flat while keeping the overall room calm and inviting.

Colour combinations

The design itself is composed of soft whitewashed tones, pale beige, warm grey, and gentle taupe within the grain lines. To create a seamless, harmonious scheme, pair it with surrounding painted walls in off-white, light greige, or soft chalky neutrals. If you want to introduce more depth or subtle colour, gentle sage greens, muted clay tones, or deep charcoal accents will sit comfortably alongside the pale wood tones without competing with the motif.
