Wallpaper - Spectrum Blocks, Candy Jar

Our Spectrum Blocks wallpaper brings together clean rectangular and square forms into a structured, mosaic-like grid. What we particularly like about this design is how the balanced geometry plays against a rich, earthy palette featuring forest green, warm brown, muted yellow, soft pink, slate blue, and clean white. The collage-like composition draws clear inspiration from mid-century functionalism and Bauhaus graphic art, creating a rhythmic surface that brings personality without chaotic noise. Printed to measure on our PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure, it is straightforward to hang and easy to live with.

In the room

We see this geometric design working exceptionally well in spaces where clear structure and visual energy can anchor the interior. In a living room or open dining room, giving our mural wallpapers an uninterrupted feature wall allows the mosaic rhythm of the blocks to establish the character of the space without competing with tall storage units.

Because the grid contains both grounded earthy tones and lighter pastels, it transitions naturally between different residential settings. In a creative home office or study, the orderly layout provides a focused backdrop behind a desk. It also adapts well to shared transition spaces like an entryway or hallway staircase, where the graphic structure adds interest to narrow wall runs. In a modern teenage room or playroom, the varied color blocks introduce a playful, design-led atmosphere that remains sophisticated enough to grow with the home.

Styling it

To let the geometric pattern lead the room, we would pair our wall murals with clean-lined contemporary or mid-century modern furniture. Simple silhouettes with low visual weight prevent the room from feeling crowded around the grid.

• Choose warm wood tones like teak, oak, or walnut for credenzas, desks, or dining tables to echo the earthy brown and forest green blocks in the motif.
• Keep surrounding upholstery and large soft furnishings in unpatterned fabrics, allowing the varied geometry on the wall to remain the primary visual focus.
• Incorporate matte black metal accents or muted ceramic pieces that complement the functionalist, Bauhaus-inspired structure of the design.

Colour combinations

Our wallpaper draws on a balanced palette of forest green, terracotta-leaning brown, mustard yellow, dusty pink, soft blue, and off-white. When planning surrounding surfaces, we suggest picking up one or two of these specific tones to create a cohesive interior.

For adjacent walls and woodwork, a warm off-white or muted stone creates a quiet, seamless backdrop that lets the wall mural stand out. If you prefer a richer and more enveloping feel, painting adjacent walls or trim in a deep forest green or warm chocolate brown pulls out the darker blocks from the print. For accent details like cushions, lampshades, or chairs, bringing in touches of dusty rose or muted mustard offers a direct, natural connection to the lighter geometric shapes.
