Wallpaper - Spectrum Blocks, Jewelry Box

Our Spectrum Blocks, Jewelry Box wallpaper arranges rectangles and squares into a structured grid pattern inspired by geometric abstraction and modernist tile compositions. Defined by thin dark outlines, the motif balances muted tones of blue, green, pink, beige, white, and mustard yellow to create an orderly yet expressive rhythm across the wall. The varied block sizes keep the repeat visually engaging without feeling chaotic, making it a distinctive choice for introducing color and architectural structure to an interior. Like all Wallism wallpapers, this design is made-to-measure to your specific wall dimensions and printed on our PVC-free paper.

In the room

In a living room or open-plan dining room, this geometric design works particularly well across a wider, uninterrupted wall where the complete rhythm of the grid can unfold naturally. The structured layout gives the room a sense of architectural balance, especially behind a low-profile sofa or dining table where the upper portion of the wall remains open to view.

We also like this design in a home office, study, or library. The clean linear framework creates an organised, focused backdrop behind a desk or between built-in shelving units. For bedrooms and guest rooms, using the wallpaper on the wall behind the headboard grounds the sleeping area while letting the soft, muted color blocks introduce gentle character to the space. In smaller areas like an entryway or powder room, the tile-like mosaic pattern provides a strong graphic identity without overwhelming compact wall surfaces.

Styling it

Because our geometric grid carries clear graphic definition, we like to balance it with furniture that has clean, uncomplicated silhouettes. Mid-century modern and contemporary pieces with rounded edges or slender legs sit naturally alongside the angular shapes in the wallpaper.

Warm wood furniture, such as caramel-toned birch or teak, complements the earthy mustard and beige tones in the pattern. You can also lean into the Bauhaus and modernist aesthetic by introducing matte black metal accents in lighting or chair frames, echoing the thin outlines within the grid. For surrounding fabrics, we recommend smooth, solid textiles rather than competing patterns, allowing the mural wallpapers to serve as the primary visual focus in the space.

Colour combinations

The palette within our design combines soft blues, sage-like greens, dusty pink, muted mustard yellow, and warm beige, all framed by subtle black grid lines.

When choosing paint for adjacent walls or woodwork, drawing out the warm caramel or creamy beige tones creates a cohesive, welcoming atmosphere. If you prefer a fresher contrast, an off-white or soft grey-white keeps the room bright while letting the colored blocks stand out cleanly. For a richer, more tailored interior, pairing the wall murals with a deep muted blue or olive green on surrounding trim or cabinetry mirrors the darker accents in the composition.
