Wallpaper - Scintilla, Peat

Our Scintilla, Peat wallpaper brings a grounded, quietly textured presence to the wall with its deep earthy brown tone and delicate, fine-stippled visual movement. Created by Wallism Studio, the design features subtle organic waves and soft tonal gradations that give flat vertical surfaces the impression of depth without relying on high-contrast pattern. The low-contrast peat brown palette creates a calm, enveloping mood that works effortlessly across both smaller nooks and broad, expansive walls. Like all our wallpapers, this mural wallpaper is made-to-measure to fit your room dimensions and is produced PVC-free with a subtle physical structure in the paper.

In the room

Because the pattern is low in contrast and fluid in structure, we find this wallpaper exceptionally versatile across a range of interior settings. In a bedroom or a dedicated home office, it wraps the space in a warm, cocooning ambiance that feels grounded and serene. It also works beautifully on a feature wall in a living room, positioned behind a sofa or low credenza where the gentle horizontal drift of the stippled texture has space to unfold uninterrupted. In compact rooms or narrow hallways, the uniform peat brown tone creates visual continuity, preventing the room from feeling visually broken up.

Styling it

When styling our Scintilla, Peat wallpaper, we recommend working with contrasting textures to bring out the subtle visual layers in the design:

• Pair with lighter natural wood furniture, such as pale ash or bleached oak, to introduce a crisp organic contrast against the dark brown backdrop.
• Incorporate brushed brass, warm bronze, or matte black lighting and accents to provide refined focal points that stand out against the deep earthy tone.
• Layer in tactile textiles like chunky woven wool throws, unbleached cotton, or textured boucle in cream and warm stone to keep the overall setting soft and inviting.

Colour combinations

The base palette of this design is built on rich peat brown, espresso, and warm umber tones. To create a cohesive look around the wallpaper, we suggest pairing adjacent walls and woodwork with soft linen whites, warm almond, or pale stone grey to provide a gentle lift. If you prefer a more dramatic, tonal scheme, deep taupe, warm charcoal, or muted ochre accents will sit alongside the peat brown with natural elegance.
