Wallpaper - Scintilla, Flint

Our Scintilla, Flint wallpaper brings subtle movement and depth to a space through soft, horizontal wave-like gradations and fine stippled detailing. Rendered in a refined spectrum of flint grey, charcoal, and cool stone tones, the design creates a calm, atmospheric backdrop rather than overpowering a room with sharp contrast. The organic flow across the surface gives walls a gentle sense of dimension that works beautifully in both contemporary and classic settings. Made-to-measure to fit your specific wall dimensions, this PVC-free wallpaper features a subtle physical structure in the paper and is designed to be straightforward to hang.

In the room

Because the tonal variation is gentle and low-contrast, we see this design working exceptionally well across all four walls of a bedroom, living room, or study. Rather than acting strictly as a high-impact feature wall, the soft horizontal drift allows it to wrap a room comfortably without feeling busy or visually demanding. In spaces with larger uninterrupted wall areas, the subtle waves have room to stretch and breathe, creating a cohesive, grounded atmosphere. It also suits more compact rooms or hallways, where the restrained palette adds visual depth without closing the space in. In varying light throughout the day, the soft shifts in grey reveal delicate textural nuance without altering the calm balance of the room.

Styling it

We suggest balancing the soft, fluid movement of the design with furniture that has clean, architectural lines. Low-profile seating or minimalist shelving lets the quiet backdrop anchor the room without visual clutter.

To bring warmth and dimension against the flint grey surface, we would pair this wallpaper with warm wood tones, such as natural oak or walnut, alongside soft woven textiles in off-white or charcoal. Keeping surrounding accessories relatively understated ensures the quiet detailing on the walls remains a sophisticated focal point.

Colour combinations

The design itself features a balanced palette of flint grey, cool mid-grey, slate undertones, and pale ash.

To build a cohesive interior, we recommend pairing this wallpaper with crisp off-whites, chalky greys, or deeper graphite accents on woodwork, ceilings, and adjacent painted walls. If you want to introduce colour into the room, muted earthy tones like warm terracotta, olive green, or soft ochre create a grounded contrast that complements the cool mineral character of the grey background.
