Wallpaper - Kasumi Garden, Parchment Cream

Our Kasumi Garden wallpaper, created by designer Marta Cortese, presents an intricate botanical garden scene set against a warm parchment cream ground. Rising from scalloped cloud-like borders at the base, lush clusters of blooming peonies, delicate irises, and wild floral sprays give way to tall, slender bamboo stems reaching toward stylized floating clouds. The composition has a painted, traditional character with a rich yet gentle palette of cream, soft whites, dusty rose, slate blue, and charcoal grey. Like all our mural wallpapers, this design is made-to-measure to fit your room dimensions and printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface structure.

In the room

We see this scenic design working particularly well on a wide, uninterrupted accent wall where the full vertical growth of the garden and bamboo can unfold without interruption. In a living room or behind a headboard in a bedroom, the lower decorative tiers anchor the base of the wall while the open parchment sky above keeps the upper portion of the room feeling light and spacious. Because the detailed floral activity is concentrated in the lower two-thirds, it remains visually striking even when low-profile sofas or low bed frames sit in front of it. In a dedicated dining room, wrapping this wallpaper across the main focal wall creates an inviting, atmospheric backdrop for gatherings.

Styling it

To let the detailed botanical motifs take centre stage, we suggest pairing this design with furniture that has clean, understated lines and quiet textures. Low-slung seating in natural linen or unadorned wool upholstery complements the classic visual feel of the garden without competing with its intricate linework. When it comes to surrounding materials, warm wood tones such as walnut or natural oak echo the earthy warmth of the parchment background, while subtle dark iron or aged bronze accents pick up the deep charcoal scalloped bands along the bottom.

Colour combinations

The design features a nuanced palette rooted in parchment cream, deep charcoal, and soft green foliage, accented with blush rose, gentle butter yellow, and touches of cornflower and iris blue. For adjacent painted walls, soft neutral tones like warm ecru, pale stone, or muted bone will blend naturally with the wallpaper's background. If you prefer more definition, pulling out the deep slate or charcoal from the lower borders for skirting boards, doors, or window trims provides a crisp, grounding contrast that frames the mural beautifully.
