Wallpaper - Kasumi Garden, Morning Mist

Designed by Marta Cortese, our Kasumi Garden, Morning Mist wallpaper brings a serene botanical landscape into the home. What we particularly like about this design is the balance between the rich floral garden at the base and the airy, open sky above. Detailed peonies, delicate daisies, wild blooms, and tall bamboo stems rise from decorative scalloped contours in deep indigo and muted ochre, set against a gentle sage green backdrop drifting with soft clouds. Our made-to-measure mural wallpapers are PVC-free and produced on paper with a subtle surface structure, making them straightforward to hang.

In the room

Because the composition carries most of its intricate detail across the lower half of the wall, we see this working exceptionally well in a bedroom behind a low headboard or in a dining room where the blooms remain visible around the table. The tall, slender bamboo branches draw the eye upwards into the misty background, making our wall murals feel open rather than heavy. On a wider, uninterrupted living room wall, the full horizontal panorama has room to unfold naturally, while in an entryway it creates an immediate sense of quiet elegance.

Styling it

We would pair this botanical mural with understated, refined elements to let the detailed garden take centre stage. Low-profile furniture in light oak or painted neutral finishes keeps sightlines open to the lower florals. For soft furnishings, smooth textured weaves in off-white, misty grey, or muted navy echo the clouds and dark base contours without competing with the floral detail. Keeping surrounding accessories simple and sculptural allows the artistic quality of the design to breathe.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper is anchored by a calming sage green mist, accented with ivory whites, soft blush pinks, cornflower blue, coral touches, and grounded by dark navy scalloped framing along the bottom. For adjacent painted walls and woodwork, we recommend gentle chalky off-whites or soft grey-greens that blend effortlessly with the background. If you prefer deeper contrast, pulling out the navy from the base ribbon on skirting boards or doors creates a tailored, framing effect around the room.
