Wallpaper - Ginkgo Folia, Smoky Quartz

Our Ginkgo Folia in Smoky Quartz brings together overlapping ginkgo biloba leaves arranged in a dense, rhythmic repeat. The fan-shaped leaves are illustrated with fine, radiating vein lines and delicate scalloped contours, creating a scalloped, almost geometric cadence across the wall. Shaded in muted smoky quartz, warm taupe, and deep charcoal contours, the palette stays low in contrast while offering subtle depth between the layered botanical silhouettes. Produced made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle paper structure, this design brings an organic yet orderly graphic presence to a room.

In the room

We see this wallpaper working particularly well in spaces where you want a calm, cohesive backdrop that still holds intricate detail up close. In a bedroom, placing it on the wall behind the headboard gives the room a grounded focal point, while the muted, earthy tones keep the overall atmosphere restful. It also sits comfortably in a dining room or living room, where the continuous horizontal and vertical flow of the foliage pattern can run across multiple walls without overwhelming surrounding elements. Because the repeat is structured and modular, it adapts well to both compact entryways and wider, uninterrupted living areas.

Styling it

When styling around this design, we like pairing it with furniture in warm mid-tone woods or painted matte finishes that echo the earthy undertones of the smoky quartz backdrop. Tailored upholstery in neutral woven fabrics helps balance the fine graphic line work of the ginkgo leaves, allowing the botanical rhythm to lead without competing patterns. Clean-lined silhouettes and understated decorative ceramics in charcoal or muted stone complement the structured botanical feel while keeping the room uncluttered.

Colour combinations

The design itself is built on warm smoky quartz, soft mushroom grey, and muted taupe, grounded by fine charcoal outlines. For adjoining walls and woodwork, warm off-whites, soft limestone, or muted greige create a seamless, tonal transition. If you want to introduce deeper contrast through larger furniture, cabinetry, or textiles, rich espresso, deep slate, or muted olive green work harmoniously with the botanical tones.
