Wallpaper - Ginkgo Folia, Feather

Our Ginkgo Folia wallpaper in Feather brings a layered, rhythmic botanical pattern to the wall with fan-shaped ginkgo leaves and fine linear veining. Rendered in a soft, monochromatic palette of warm grey and subtle stone tones, the overlapping leaves create gentle depth without introducing harsh contrast. The dense, flowing repeat gives the design an organic yet structured feel that brings quiet movement to a room. Like all our wallpapers, this design is made to measure to your exact wall dimensions on PVC-free paper with a subtle paper structure.

In the room

Because of its balanced scale and low tonal contrast, we see this wallpaper working beautifully across all four walls in a bedroom or dining room as well as on a dedicated feature wall in a living room. The rhythmic repeat sits comfortably behind larger furniture, such as a headboard or low sofa, because the pattern remains legible even when partially interrupted. In a hallway or home office where walls are often divided by doorways and shelving, the consistent density ensures the visual rhythm continues seamlessly around corners and architectural features. In soft morning light, the fine line work within each leaf stands out, while warm evening lamps bring out the gentle warmth of the grey background.

Styling it

We would pair this botanical wallpaper with furniture that has clean, understated lines to balance the detailed leaf pattern. Mid-tone woods, warm oak, or painted cabinetry in charcoal or muted off-white create a grounded feel alongside the grey tones. For soft furnishings, heavier woven textures like wool or bouclé add depth without competing with the fine graphic lines of the motif. Sleek, minimal metal accents in brushed black or muted bronze provide a crisp counterpoint to the organic curves of the foliage.

Colour combinations

The palette in our design relies on soft, muted greys and warm stone tones layered with slightly deeper grey contour lines. Around it, we suggest using warm off-whites, chalky greiges, or soft pebble greys on woodwork and ceilings to maintain a cohesive, enveloping atmosphere. If you want to introduce more depth, deeper charcoal, muted slate, or desaturated olive green on nearby joinery or upholstery creates an elegant contrast while letting the subtle tones of the wallpaper remain central.
