Wallpaper - Ginkgo Folia, Rain

Our Ginkgo Folia, Rain wallpaper layers delicate ginkgo biloba fan leaves into a dense, rhythmic canopy drawn with fine botanical line work. Rendered in a soothing palette of slate blue, muted steel, and soft teal-grey tones, the overlapping fan shapes create an elegant scalloped movement across the wall. The gentle variation in shade between each leaf gives the repeat visual depth without disrupting its harmonious, calm character. Custom-made to your exact wall measurements, our wallpapers are printed on PVC-free paper with a subtle paper structure and are straightforward to hang.

In the room

We designed Ginkgo Folia, Rain to bring a quiet, organic flow to residential interiors. The rhythmic repeat of the fan foliage works particularly well across wider walls in a living room or behind a headboard in a bedroom, where the motif can spread out and establish a restful focal point. Because the palette relies on close, tonal blues rather than high-contrast outlines, it sits comfortably on all four walls of a smaller room or dressing area without feeling overpowering. In a home office or dining room, the delicate line work rewards closer viewing while keeping the broader wall composition refined and orderly.

Styling it

To complement the gentle fan geometry of the foliage, we would introduce furniture with soft curves and clean profiles rather than sharp, heavy angles. Warm timber finishes, particularly natural ash, pale oak, or medium walnut, create an appealing organic warmth against the cool slate-blue background.

For surrounding soft furnishings, we suggest selecting solid woven fabrics in chalky off-whites, charcoal, or deep navy to pick up on the subtle shading within the leaves. Keeping secondary patterns to a minimum allows the botanical rhythm of our mural wallpapers to remain the primary design feature in the space.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper is built around cool, layered tones of slate blue, gentle misty teal, and deep greyish blue contours. To highlight these shades, you might pair the wallpaper with soft off-white or light stone on neighbouring walls, woodwork, and ceiling mouldings to keep the room light and open. Alternatively, introducing accents of deep indigo, ink blue, or dark graphite creates a tailored, immersive feel that emphasizes the depth of the shadowed leaves.
