Wallpaper - Ginkgo Folia, Sage Milk

Our Ginkgo Folia wallpaper in Sage Milk layers delicate, fan-shaped ginkgo leaves across a soft, muted backdrop. We designed the botanical pattern with fine radiating linework within each leaf, giving the dense, overlapping foliage a gentle sense of depth and movement without overwhelming the room. The subtle sage green and creamy milk tones keep the contrast low and calming, making it an understated choice that adds quiet character to a space. Like all of our wallpapers, it is custom made-to-measure on PVC-free paper with a subtle surface texture.

In the room

Because the repeat is dense yet drawn in very soft tones, we see this pattern working across an entire room just as comfortably as on a single accent wall. In a bedroom or a quiet guest room, wrapping all four walls creates a cohesive, enveloping atmosphere where the fine botanical lines invite a closer look without feeling busy from across the room. It also works beautifully in a hallway or dining area, where the overlapping fan leaves bring organic rhythm to walls broken up by doorways and panelling. The gentle sage palette responds well to soft daylight, maintaining its pale, serene quality throughout the day.

Styling it

We suggest balancing the leafy linework with clean, grounded furnishings to let the pattern breathe. Simple furniture with smooth, quiet profiles creates an appealing counterpoint to the layered botanical illustration.

To highlight the natural character of the wallpaper, we would combine it with light wood tones, such as pale ash or natural oak, which complement the muted sage without introducing harsh contrast. Soft, unpatterned fabrics on curtains or upholstery keep the focus on the wall, while simple matte ceramics and quiet architectural accents let the fine linework remain the centrepiece of the interior.

Colour combinations

The wallpaper itself combines muted sage green tones with soft off-white and milky cream hues. When selecting paint colours for adjoining walls, woodwork, or ceiling trim, we recommend staying within this calm botanical family.

A warm chalky white or soft ivory on skirting boards and doors keeps the overall look light and open. If you prefer a richer, more cohesive feel, pairing the wallpaper with a deeper muted sage or olive green on surrounding woodwork frames the botanical motif beautifully. Muted stone tones and pale greiges also blend seamlessly, maintaining the gentle, understated warmth of the room.
